Summer

Summer is here! We have thoroughly been enjoying our summer so far! The boys have been going to a fun summer program on Tue/thur and they are loving it! It's a mix of their friends from school and church, so they are loving to get to see them extra! We also bought a new pool this summer we put at the end of our slide and they are living it up in that. They usually end up naked out there. We have got to change that.

This past weekend we took a long weekend trip to the beach in port Aransas. We had a blast! We went with our friends here in Bastrop and it was so much fun. The kids had their first ferry ride, played along the beach, swam in the pool in our complex, and loved being a new fun house for a few days right on the beach. Carter and Rylie loved the waves and were in the water constantly. Carter would go jump over them and boogie board all day long. Rylie, would just run into the waves as if she was bigger than them. They would knock her right over every.time and then she would get right back up. To say she loved it is a huge understatement. Tuck, on the other hand was terrified of the waves. Poor kid, but he slowly came around and would get closer to them but never in them. He did dig in the sand and had fun building sand castles. Everyday after we would play in the beach we would head to the pool and clean up. Carter would usually want to stay forever longer so me and him had a lot of fun swimming by ourselves. He is a little fish, jumping and flipping off the side and going to get his torpedo at the bottom of the pool. He always always amazes me. Rylie is so similar to C in the fact that she thinks she can just swim or jump in without fear. Anyways, we all had a great time, with lots of great food and fun. We would play games after we put the kiddos down, and that was always so fun. The weather was perfect all weekend and so thankful we left when we did, because a tropical storm was coming in! It was a perfect trip to start out the summer!

We got the boys their summer cuts before we left for our trip- I'm always sad to see Carter's long hair go, but I love it when it's short too. Plus, so much cooler for him in the summer. T calls a haircut a shortcut! "Mommy I can't wait to get my shortcut!" Love it.:) The women's World Cup is also on right now so we have been painting the kiddos up before the games :) they love it so much. Last weekend grams and pops came in, so Bret and I could go to our friends wedding in New braunfels. The kids had a blast and so did we. We got to see so many friends and catch up with everyone. So excited for our friend Kim and Brandon.

Next week Carter man is going to VBS and my mom is coming to surprise the boys to take them for the weekend! So another fun filled week for them!

Rylie is so hooked on the pacifier now. I mean obsessed and loves it so. She lays in bed for forever in the morning with it in, so we kinda welcome i😁😇. She will lay there and do her sign language while laying in bed in the morning. It's so adorable. She goes back and forth between giving us open mouth kisses and regular ones. Ha. She is so obsessed with shoes and putting her shoes on and off. She is our little tan baby for sure. She loves to ride the gator right now with the boys and always wants to go with anyone who is riding in the car! Annnnd....last weekend when we were gone, Rylie peed standing up in the same corner the boys pee in before they go swim.😳

The boys are loving the Tbarm mighty men song we taught them. It is the most adorable thing. Rylie even does it with them and throws her arms in the air with them. So cute. They love to ride the swings together and do underdog(or big under and dog under as they sometimes call it). Carter always can't wait to show us a new trick he has learned or something he's been working on. It's so sweet. He is also into learning new songs every night along with ones we already know. We love listening to him sing you are my strength when I am weak. He is learning how great is our God right now too:)
These kids sadly love wasps, slugs and all the creatures in the yard. Yuck. They are ever so competitive and it probably will be the end of me. Their ages together are so fun right now and really soaking in all this time, before C starts kinder next year. 😢
