July

Carter had a great time at VBS! He had so much fun with his friend Bella! It's so fun to hear him singing all the new songs he learned from VBS. My mom came and picked them up Friday around lunch and they had a great time hanging out with my mom, Ana and uncle frank. They went to chuck E cheese, swam a lot in the hot tub, played with their cousin Titus (who they LOVE) and have nicknamed Ti-Ti. Our neighbors son Tyler they call Ty-Ty and so the boys have given Titus had name as well:) so sweet.

The next weekend we went down to my dad's for the Fourth of July. He was actually in Portugal so we didn't get to see him:( but we got to hang out with Angie and Spencer and see our friends Jenn and Kyle and all their kiddos! It was a really fun and relaxing weekend. The kids swam and played hard! It was great! The U.S. Women also won the World Cup so that was pretty amazing! Loved loved watching that.

We have continued the boys going to school through July, so they have been loving that this summer with Mrs.Kelli. In between school days we have gone to the splash pad, or swimming with friends, or gone to play at the river. One of my favorites from the summer is watching the boys take off on swimming. C is a little fish and Tucker, who wouldn't put his head under the water now dives under all the time! So very proud of him! One of my bible study girls got engaged this summer, so we got to have a big celebration for Annalise this summer.

Last weekend Grams and Pops came in to watch the kids for the weekend. They swam and swam all weekend with them. Bret and I went to Dallas for adoption day for Steve and Alli. It was so wonderful to get to be there for that. Then, this past week my dad came and got the boys. They played at the ranch, swam, went to the restaurant, played on four wheelers, went to the movies with Angie and Spencer, got to go on the boat and ate more junk food and drank more sprites than ever. So they have had such a fun filled summer with grandparents. I am so thankful they have such wonderful grandparents who love them all so much.

Rylie and I have had a lot of extra time to spend together this summer and it has been so fun. She is obsessed with stickers, books, shoes,  and her blanket and pacifier(like always). She wants a book every.time we get into the car. She wants to do her sticker book all the time. We love to go run errands together, she loves to ride in the stroller when I run and smiles at me the whole time, and she wants to be just like the boys. She wants to go on the potty like them, wear underwear like them and run around the kitchen like they do. She also wants us to do a spike in her hair like the boys. It's so cute. She still loves to throw everyone's shoes at them- and she puts her shoes on right when she gets up in the morning, or out of bath time-anytime. She just always puts them on. So funny. This girl also looooves to dance. When music comes on in the car she is swinging those arms and at home she dances all the time. I love it so. She still loves to eat sand, dirt, crayons and play doh. ðŸ˜†ready for that stage to be over. She is so fun. New words lately- nigh-night. Whoa. Making all animal sounds like moo, fish with her lips, pig, horse, she loves all animal books and making their sounds. :)

Carter asked me the other day why I didn't name him claw or scraper?!?! He is really really into transformer and rescue bots so I guess he wanted us to name him one of those. He also has the kindest heart and his heart really does think about God so much. We have been looking at properties lately and I asked him who was his closest friend(who he would want to live next to) and he said well God is my best friend and he lives in heaven. My dad also told me this weekend he told him one day he wanted to go to heaven. He loves to talk about the Lord, sing and pray to Him right now and I can't get enough of it. When he prays at night he says "Thank you Lord for my wonderful family and the best mommy, and the best daddy, the best brother and the best sister. So sweet. He always tells everyone how much he will miss us next year when he is at kindergarten and when he gets really excited about us telling him how proud of him we are he will say "you are the best mom/dad I could ever have." Love that kiddo and his silly sweet self. C got stung a few weeks ago by two wasps and so now he is terrified every time he goes outside he looks for them. Thankfully that is getting better.

Tucker- he is the most energetic hilarious kid ever. I need to just record him all day long with the things he says. He got treasure box at school and got a tattoo but calls it a tu-ta:) or them calling a wasp- a was. Randomly we were driving to the car wash and we turned up the radio and T starts dancing and says"let's party" ha. He will always say when they are playing ninja turtles with Bret "daddy are you afraid of wasps, skunks, snakes and on and on and on" its so funny bc Bret totally plays it up. He loves to play eeny meeny miny mo right now with everything. Oh and still wants to be first in every.single.thing. Some days he just seems so big. He tries so hard to behave some days and always says I said "may you please" bc he think when he asks nicely he always gets it, but he sure is trying. The boys faces sure do beam when they are respectful and we praise them for that. I love to see their smiles so big. The kids all have such great smiles. It's so good to be back home together after a busy few weeks.

We have a lot of fun the next few weeks with some last summer trips. Can't believe we will have a kindergartner in a month.
