We just finished October. I can't believe how quickly this month came and went. We had such a great month though. We got to go back to Houston this month for a few birthday parties. Titus turned one! That was such a fun lumberjack party. The boys loved opening presents for Titus. (And playing with them). They had a great time at Itsy's swimming in the hot tub, eating donuts and just hanging out with all our family who was there for the birthday party! After Titus' birthday we went to Elijah's 5th birthday at the fire station. It was the perfect day for it and we were so glad we got to be in town for that. We went to the park after and just played forever. None of our kids had naps that day so they crashed early that night. The next day we went to church there and played at Amy's after for awhile, then headed home. Our kids were so wiped.
Bret went out of town fishing this week with some camp friends. Meanwhile we had a fun slumber party with friends. Lisa and Amelia and their girls came over to spend the night and hang out with us. We had so much fun.
This month has been a rough one for Bastrop. Homes lost in fires and floods and sweet little boy at Carter's school lost his life in an accident. Life is so fragile. I'm grateful for the ways we can help serve others through our store.
Halloween. In laws coming in. Retreat canceled.
November. November was a very busy month, with lots of trips to Houston for a wedding of a friend. Then my sister had her baby shower and then my cousin had her baby shower. Last week, we went to Denton for Thanksgiving and had a nice and relaxing few days with their family. It was the last time we will probably go to their Denton home. Their new house in Gainesville should be done in a few months! Crazy and we are so excited for them!
This past week we had family pictures which was so fun to do that. Sometimes our kids feel so big! Can't believe they are all about to have birthdays!
R's vocabulary taken off at 21 months "I want that" I want more. Yep. "Tuck" bird and I want out when we are in the car or "I wanna buck" (which means buckle).
No. Mine. I want up. "Nack" I want bread. Stop. I want ketchup. I wanna rock. Uh-oh and boo boo. I mean she can pretty much repeat anything now. It's awesome. She also says yep to whatever tucker does. He will ask her to take her clothes and diaper off and she will and color herself with a pen. Those two together are trouble. Today tuck drank straight out of the elderberry bottle and had an elderberry mustache is how I caught him. They both unroll toilet paper and tuck even spit out his dinner on C last night. Mess. Constant messes especially in the kitchen and bathrooms. Tuck said I wanna play in the cacuzzi. R constantly takes off her diaper and clothes. She empties any soap bottle in every bathroom as much as she can. She loves to say "hold" and "I want food and more mama"
I want that mama to everything. "All done mommy". She is getting her two year old molars right now too.
C is really into wearing running clothes and drawing robots/ making pictures and working on all his sight words and anything that has to do with school. He loves it so much. He is reading a ton and writing sentences. It's so fun to see him soaring at school. I have had so many cool conversations with him lately. He really loves God and asks about Him and His ways. One morning we were driving to school and he said "I want to move near my friends and near grandparents" I told him how God brought us to Bastrop and how He will let us know if we are supposed to move. He said if we can't see or hear God how do you know that?" I said well He gives us a peace that is different from other ways. God shows up in lots of different ways. It's just so fun and cool to have those talks with him. Praying his heart is always for Jesus.
T has been acting a fool lately. He's gone crazy. I guess he's getting all the three in he can but today he did fall asleep on me for nap time. :) he still does that a lot. He also says a lot of fun words like "surrested" is arrested and "lillypop". He does still give the best Tucker hugs and his manners, when he wants them to be are so great. He is so into naughty list and nice list right now.
Every color is blue for Rylie
