Farris family blog: Well I just let the months fly by

Tomorrow is December 1st. So five months have come and gone without me sitting down to update my blog. Sad sad day because we did have the best summer ever this summer. The big boys did Destiny sports camp the first week of the summer and had so much fun! The second week of the summer was VBS and they loved that as well. We had family pool passes to the pools this summer, so we made it to all but two I think. They loved sawmill and rob fleming pools the best by far! Tuck was nicknamed the dentist at VBS for his incredible flossing talent. Ha. We took the kids to our first family movie to see the Incredibles. I would say Carter man was the only one who actually enjoyed it. Jay fell asleep. Rylie and Tuck wanted food the whole time. It was eventful. For Father's Day we took Bret to ifly to skydive! He had fun doing that!Carter and Tucker got to go spend four nights at Grams and Pops house-they had so much fun fishing and going to the lake, and making tye die shirts! Over the fourth of July we sold our house in New Braunfels so we took the kids up there and by camp to hang out and play for a night! Cow appreciation day is always fun for the kiddos!My mom took the kids to the Astros game one day in the summer and they had so much fun going there and to the aquarium. Then the next week we flew out to Maine, which was definitely the highlight of the summer! The kids loved going on the airplane, we went hiking and swimming in the water, kayaking, going to smalls falls, bowling and eating some lobster and of course the pine tree frosty for dessert at night! We went to old orchard beach and staying with Uncle Tim and Aunt Cathy which was so much fun for all of us! The last day we walked around Boston and explored a little bit. After Maine, we hosted TbarM camp coaches, which is such a highlight for us. We love and adore these guy coaches so much. They were a gift to us. Then the next week Carter man and I got to go to camp again, which was a blast! I loved every minute of going to camp with Carter and watching how much he had grown this year. He got the character award of leader and my momma heart was so proud. His buddy Keller got to go with him, which made it that much more fun! We did some last fun end of summer things. Bret got to take the littles to lost pines with his mom again this year, which has become a fun tradition for them. We had some church pool parties, went to the lake with our friends the Hanson's and the kids went to my mom's which ended sadly with Tuck having a broken arm for the start of school. Thankfully he was okay and is all back to normal now! School started the next week and the kids are all off to another great year. Wonderful teachers and they are all thriving. We are so proud of all of them. Tuck played baseball this fall and his team won the world series! Carter's soccer team went undefeated again and Rylie loved playing soccer too. Jay played basketball this fall and had fun doing that! We should adopt him during the next 3-6 months and that will feel so great to have all of that be official and done with! Hopefully sooner than later! Rylie asked this summer if Jay's ears will pop off when they were hurting on the plane? and when we rolled down the window in Maine she said 'ah the breath of summer" ha. that kid is too funny. She makes up all her own songs and sings them all the time. Last night in the bathtub they had their own dude perfect band.
