| five year old boy beach day! |
May was a crazy busy month! We finished up so many things....swim lessons, school, soccer and it is so nice to be in the summer months now! The kids had their annual school carnival at the beginning of the month and Tuck had so much fun doing the pie in the face thing at the school. He wanted to do it over and over. It was awesome. Bret and I were invited to go see Hamilton with some old friends from camp, which was amazing! Bret took the boys and his dad to their first Astros game! They won and it was a great game! They got some hot dogs and pretzels to eat at the game. Carter man finished up his soccer season. We had a blast with the kids this semester. They went undefeated and were just a fun group of kids to coach. I am looking forward to being with them again in the fall. The kids started swimming like crazy this month. Pretty much everyday after school they would jump in the pool and go swim. For Mother's Day the kids all made me the sweetest cards at school, and Bret and them made me breakfast and also they gave me a weekend away with my friend Amelia in the summer! After church, my mom was in town so we went and met her for lunch with my sisters and Frankie. That was really fun and then I had to head to a wedding that night for one of Jenn's brothers. Rylie and Roland started swim lessons that next week. It was really fun to watch them go from being scared of the water and terrified to swim without floaties to swimming so well by the end of the week. Then just a few weeks later they both started riding their bikes without training wheels! Some big milestone for the little two over the past month. The community pools opened up, so we have had fun trying all of those out during the week and on the weekends. So far the kids like the ones that are the least crowded the best. All of our kids are obsessed with doing the floss right now. It is hilarious and so funny to watch them all do their different version of it all. A few weeks ago Rylie and I went to go visit our sweet friends Erin and her little girl Kinley. We talked and visited, the girls played at the park and dressed up in their ballet clothes and did a little show for us. They were so cute and sweet playing together. My mom took Roland out on his date for his birthday and he picked out a new bey blade and got a rockets jersey(which he wears every.time it is clean). Rylie and Titus were the flower girl and ring bearer in my sister's best friend C.D.'s wedding. They nailed that role. They were so incredible cute walking down the aisle and were so sweet and had so much fun being the only kids there. Rylie twirled all around in her dress and felt like a princess. She loved getting her hair done and watching the bride and just loved being a flower girl. She danced the night away as well. It was so cute and adorable to watch her. To finish up this month and the end of school, Tuck lost his first tooth the last week of school! It was wiggly for so long! He even left the tooth fairy a note he wanted to keep his tooth(just like his brother) so sweet. The boys finished up school and had a great first year at all of their schools. Now onto 3rd, 1st, and Kinder for the boys next year! Roland finally turned five! He's been waiting for this day since all our kids have already had their birthdays! We threw him a little party with family and our neighbors and that was really sweet and fun. He wanted a paw patrol cake and a swim party and thats what we did! the kids all had a lot of fun, then on his actual birthday, the last day of school, we took him down to the beach with our friends, the Clardy's and that was a blast! We stayed the night before at my dad's and then packed up early and went to the beach. The kids were amazing and we stayed for way longer than I thought we would last that day. They played in the waves and the sand and soaked up every minute together! It was the perfect start to summer break!
Some fun things about the kids this year. Carter finished out the year with all A's and nothing lower than a 96 all year with all E's in behavior! Tuck mastered all he needed for Kinder and finished the year as the only one in Kinder with perfect attendance! Recently we went to one of the community pools and some random dad came over to me and said "I just wanted you to know how sweet and kind your boys are" They were helping all the younger kids on the slide and letting them go first. It was such a proud mom moment. It is so fun watching them turn into big kids and helping all the younger kiddos. Roland got an award at school for being second highest in his class knowing all his letters and numbers. The boys were so proud of him Carter carried him from the bus all the way to the house and then when he got inside both boys just told him how he didn't used to know anything when we first got him and now he can do anything. It was motivational speeches from my boys and so incredible sweet to watch them cheer him on. Rylie was always known at school as the one who takes care of everyone. She always knows whats going on with everything and is such a care taker of everyone. She especially does that with Roland and those two play so well together. She did so incredibly well her first year in school and is writing her name and all her letters. It was a great year for our kiddos. We are so proud of them and what great kids they are!
