January has been a fast and furious month over here. We just finished up 3 birthdays in 8 days and officially have a 3,4,5 and 6 year old. That is crazy to think about and yet so very fun.
I will start with basketball since we just finished our first games this morning. The boys are doing so great in their seasons. They are having fun and I am so proud of them. They both have got guarding their defender down and Tuck has scored in both of his games and Carter has gotten so close! They have now found out about snacks after games and as well all know every kid lives for that. We have waited so long to put them in sports until our kids have all been a little older and that so has paid off. We don't have a toddler trying to run not the court, but all the kids do a great job watching the other one play. I am so thankful for that. They love to wear their jerseys and get excited when it is Saturday morning to put them on!
We have had Bentley a little over a month now and we celebrated his birthday a few weeks ago! He wanted race car everything! So we took him to an indoor bounce house place that had a race car bounce house and that was a blast. Then, the next day we took him to Austin park n pizza so he could drive go carts, ride bumper boats, and they even got to ride the little kiddie rides they had there! Bentley picked pizza for dinner and we had so much fun celebrating that four year old. He even told us that he wanted to drive the race car 1,000 times! It was so great they had ones his age could drive! That morning we did our tradition of balloons and presents on the table. We got him some new shoes and socks, new car bath toys, and a race track that lights up! It was such a fun birthday to get to celebrate that sweet four year old. He picked brownies over a cake or cookies because that kid can throw down some brownies. He loves his sweets:) and pepperoni, yogurt, chips, grapes, green apples, chicken nuggets, cereal, and fries. That is pretty much the extent of this kids diet. We are so thankful he is with us right now. We adore him.
Three days later was Rylie's pink party....FINALLY. Which was hard for her to understand since she wanted her pink party on her birthday, but we made it. We gave her some cupcake bath toys, new underwear and team umizoomi stuffed kids that sleeps with every night because that is always and forever her favorite show and the only show she will watch. She wanted to go to the sugar shack after school on her birthday so we did that and she picked pasta for dinner, so we picked up cedars for her birthday and then Sunday she got her pink party! Her pink party was perfect. Her two little best friends Catheryn and Quincy came. They made bracelets, painted their nails pink, everyone brought her pink presents, she ate her pink cake and had all pink food and drinks. It was perfect and she was so very happy about it all. She was the most precious and adorable thing I have ever seen.
We did a joint party with Tuck after Rylie's party, so that our families could be here for both. My dad and Maggie came, my sister Ana and her family and Bret's parents all came for it. That worked out so well. Tuck's party was from 1-3 and Rylie's started at noon. So we finished all the pink stuff and then Tuck's three friends from school(Miles, Enzo and Thomas) all came over for his monster truck party. We found the most epic monster truck bounce house, then got a piƱata to go with it, cake and presents and it was a huge hit. Tuck had the best expressions doing everything and was so happy about it all. I loved watching every moment of Tuck and Rylie's parties. It was so fun to see them so excited about turning 3 and 5. It is hard for me to believe they are getting so big and that Tuck will start Kinder in the fall.
Tuck's actual birthday was the next Tuesday. So we gave him his balloons and presents in morning. He got some new shoes and socks, and some new bath toys for the tub too. He had school that day, so he wanted to take chocolate chip cookies to school to share with his class. He wanted poppyseed chicken for dinner that night, so we had that and then he wanted to go to orange leaf for dessert to get himself some ice cream! It was a great birthday week with our little ones. Hard to believe they are 3, 4 and five.
Carter is into pac man the show right now and rollerblading. That kid is amazing on his rollerblades. He never ceases to amaze me with how quickly he picks things up. Tuck is pretty into basketball right now and practices a lot on the new goal my brother got him for Christmas. Rylie loves her dolls still and still loves to play in her kitchen all the time, and she is getting really great on her new bike she got for Christmas. Bentley loves to drive all the power wheels, loves super hero stuff and is so particular about what he wears everyday and how well it fits. He doesn't like anything to be loose, only everything tight, and has opinions on every thing he wears. His favorite show is Blaze. Tuck likes Rusty Rivets right now and R is always umizoomi. Tuck the other day said he wanted us to play amazing grace in the car. That is his favorite song Bret sings with them at night right now. R still loves Jesus loves me when we sing, and all four of these kids love them some dance parties and playing we roll and you jump with daddy, or trying to run past daddy upstairs in the game room. They play outside all day everyday and I am so glad this has been a warmer winter for these kid. Carter is doing so well in school and was the one who came up with a great idea for their science fair project at school to solve it, and he also got to present it to the judges. Tuck has been writing all his letters and learning his sounds, and R is learning along as well because the got the leap frog DVD's for the little ones for Christmas.
We went this past week and looked at houses in Houston. Still cannot believe we are getting to live there and be apart of that community. I am so excited. Beyond excited. We are having a hard time with the housing stuff. Really praying God will make it so clear where we are supposed to be.
February is a busy month with being gone to seminar and Bret is also going skiing, so I know it will fly be. Cannot wait to see what is in store for next month!
