Well, this is the last weekend before September starts on Monday and I made it to update this thing before a full month went by. What a crazy, busy few weeks it has been!
We hit the one month mark of our store being opened(yay!) Things are going well. Our team is getting better and faster each and every week which is exciting! We really do love them and that is def. one of the best parts is our team and getting to know them and them getting to know our family! The boys and I are up there almost everyday, whether meeting someone for a play date or just going to eat dinner because Bret is working late.
So...I started those first two paragraphs before September started but then never finished, but thankfully it is only two days into September and not the end of the month. This past weekend was labor day and we made a very quick trip to Houston for my sister's bridal shower and also to drop my grandpa's truck off to him that he so graciously let us use these past few months. It was so great to see my grandpa as always. We brought over some pizza and ate dinner over there with him. We swam at my dad's house with Angie and Spencer and then Angie's bridal shower was on Sunday night! Carter decided this weekend he was going to do flips off the side of the pool. Never.EVER ceases to amaze me that kid. I wish we could of stayed longer but I am so grateful for the time we had and to get to see family whenever we can.
Carter started Pre-K last week and had his meet the teacher on Tuesday. We love his teacher Ms. Jenny and are so grateful he will be in her class this year. He was pretty shy at Meet the teacher, but that is pretty normal for him. Thursday when he got to school he was SO excited and he had a really great day! As he says they played, and ate lunch and he was the snack helper. Pretty much what all little kids days at school consist of are lunch/snack time, recess and playing. I sure do miss that kiddo when he is at school. The other day I was playing cars with him and only his cars were allowed to be called the hot wheels because they are so fast and mine are the "cold wheels" because I am so slow. Ha. He sure is a funny kid. I mean he is pretty right:) Tucker is his little repeat of everything. Tucker does and says whatever Carter does. These past few weeks Tucker has finally learned how to drive the gator/tractor so they have been having a blast playing and racing up and down the street.
Tucker is still every.bit of 2 and a half there could be. You never know what you are gonna get with him from day to day, but always a lot of NO's and very LOUD words. He takes his shorts and underwear off when he goes potty and he will say to us when we ask him "Tucker where are your clothes?" He responds with "they misappeared." Ha. I really do love that saying. He says things such a "holy guacamole" or "holy cow" along with if you say remember tucker, he will say "member" to whatever you are saying. He also think only he can say "me too" If I say "me too" to something he will look at me with his eyebrows scowled and say "No, I'mmmmm TWO" He is also our little jokester and will always say "hey mommy you know what?" "chicken head, or chicken face, or any gooberish thing he can come up with" He is singing his ABC's around the house these days and still loves paw patrol, but mostly he really just wants to do and play with whatever Carter is doing. It is pretty sweet, most of the time. :)
Rylie girl is sitting up everywhere these days and all over the floors. Her clothes at the end of the day prove it. Sigh. She is just about as sweet as can be and I am so thankful for her little self. She adores her brothers and wants to be outside with them all the time. She also wants to eat whatever they are having, so we just give her some table food along with baby food now a days too. She loves the splash pad and any kind of water. She is such a great sleeper and is starting to put her hand in the air to wave hi. It is the sweetest. So thankful for our sweet little girl.
A few weeks ago we went to my sister's baby shower in Houston and had such a great time seeing friends and family there. The kids got to go to the park with the Coldwell's and play over at their house, and we had dinner with my mom, and Ana and JM and they also had a lot of fun at the shower at Sheri's house. Bret was up at work and we def. missed him, but it was nice to have a weekend away.
We will start up with BSF next week and so looking forward to jumping back in with that and for other fun things this fall. This week my mil is coming to stay at lost pines and so we will get to go play up there with her and we also bought a new truck! Exciting things ahead and very much looking forward to cooler weather as much as we are outside these days. Grateful for so very much and these three little blessings the Lord has given us.
