January/February

Trying to be more consistent through 2018, so writing today on the last day of January. It has been a cold January here in Texas. We had ANOTHER SNOW day. Two snow days in one school year and a hurricane is UNHEARD OF!! So the kids went back to school for four days, and then had the weekend and three days off the next week as well. Which was fun, because our store was closed, so Bret got to stay home with us and do puzzles and hang out as a family all day. We all enjoyed it. Ellie's birthday party was a lot of fun, we got pizza from grandpa's restaurant and then got to go to his house afterwards for some fun playing. Angie and Ellie came and stayed with us the next weekend while Spencer was out of town and so we got some more fun cousin time in! It has been so great having everyone so much closer. We have all really enjoyed that! The next week was Rylie girl's birthday! SHE IS FOUR!! crazy! All she wanted to do for her birthday was get her nails done and go on the carousel and candy store with her friends. So we did just that. We went to sweet and sassy with Evi and Ellie and then went to the mall to ride the carousel and go to the candy store. It was the sweetest little time, and they got to dance after they got their nails done and put on a runway show. It was adorable. On Rylie's actual birthday, our sweet neighbors brought over cinnamon rolls and cupcakes because we had a flood in the house the night before, and Rylie got to open her new rain boots, and gum and pink beyblade(because ALLL the kids are obsessed with beyblades). So that was fun and I got to take her to the disney store (which she calls disneyworld) I love that. So we had a fun time celebrating our sweet girl. It is hard to believe she is four. She still years later only watches umizoomi, her favorite things to play with are her dolls, or kitchen. She loves to sing and dance and oh my can she shake it. She has learned to write her name. She can eat at whole carton of strawberries in one sitting and her favorite food is still beans and rice. So we went out for mexican on the night of her birthday! She loves to color and anything pink and purple and is a little stud on her scooter and wants to play whatever sport her big brothers are playing. She may be the littlest and youngest, but she can most def. hold her own. Bret and her are going to the daddy/daughter dance again this weekend and I cannot wait to see that!

Next up was Tuck's birthday and ALL he wanted to do for his birthday was go to Chuck E Cheese and he was SO over the moon exited. My mom also took him and Rylie on their own special dates and they went to Chuck E cheese as well. My mom also took Rylie shopping to get a dress for the daddy daughter date night and a new swimsuit for the summer! I love that my mom is taking our kids on a date like my grandma did for us when we were growing up. Tucker picked Elijah and Brendan to come with him to Chuck E cheese and they had so much fun. We picked up dinner after and then they headed home. We gave Tuck some new beyblades and tights he wanted and some new puzzles because he loves puzzles so much. He is a puzzle king. Grams and Pops also sent him monopoly and he was so excited about that. My sweet sister also brought him over some birthday cupcakes for him. So he was more than sugared up that day! Which is how it should be on your birthday. Tuck loves him some spaghetti and whatever sandwich daddy is eating from subway or firehouse subs. He will eat salads and is by far our best eater and can eat three bowls of oatmeal like its nothing. He also would rather do things like pick pasta for dessert over an actual dessert. He is learning to read and picking it up so much. Still our funniest kid and the kid that cracks us up the most. He loves for us to come eat lunch with him and he jumped in the pool the other day in February. He just does his own thing.

Tucker and Carter just finished their basketball season! They both have improved so much since last year, so that was fun to watch. Bret and i celebrated 11 years of marriage this year and my mom took the kids, so that we could go out to Landry's and have a night away. Then we got to go to Florida for seminar and that was a blast. My mom had the kids for four days and pretty sure they didn't eat anything but sugar and all their valentine's candy. On President's day we went down to my dads for the kids to try out the polaris that my dad bought for the boys. They were so pumped. He even bought them helmets to go with it.

Carter man's birthday is coming up this week. He is so excited about it. He has been in the best mood all week long! We are trying to surprise him with going to a Rockets game, so hoping it will work out! Roland has been doing great in speech and school and learning a ton, so that has been so encouraging to see. I took him with me to mercy house last week and he loved getting to help over there. That was a lot of fun. He has gotten really into basketball because of the boys, and he has learned to climb the tree outside of our house. All of our kids love to play knockout right now, and that has been really fun...until Tucker loses.

Next week is spring break, so excited for a break with the family and routines and all.
