Catch up

I was hoping to stay as consistent as I was in the beginning of this blogging thing, but since Tucker's birthday it has been a blur. After we found out Bret's awesome news, we figured out we only had 2 full weeks of being here left in Houston.<insert chaos>

So, after Tucker's birthday we celebrated our 6th anniversary. We got to have a night away at the galleria and Bret's family watched the kiddos. We went to Morton's steakhouse which was super delish. It was a great night of fun away!

Then the next week we got to go skiing with some of our best friends Steve and Alli up in Maine. It was so much fun. It was my first time away from the boys for more than a weekend and it was just as much fun for me as it was for them. Bret's parents AND Aunt Sarah and Aunt Pat came to watch them. We are so blessed to have them in our lives and how much they love our kids and our kids LOVE them.

Bret and I up on the mountain
Getting down on Bret's level since snowboarders sit down in the snow all the time(so dumb)
This cup was up in Maine and I thought it was so funny because we always have called Carter- "Carter-man" and then I saw this cup that had Tucker man

Loved this panaromic pic of Bret on the slopes

The four of us

So our flight got cancelled on way home so we took a bus to Boston to get home to the boys!! We really missed em!

After we got back from skiing Bret just had two weeks left before he was done here in Willis. Crazy. So the last day he worked our two best couple friends came to eat breakfast with him. Here is a picture of Carter and Lilly on Bret's last day in Willis!!!
Then later that afternoon Erin and I decided to road trip to NB to meet our Tim Team bestie Jean's new baby girl Olivia. One of the coolest adoption stories I have ever heard.
Random pic of T here. He looks too big:( stop growing please

Bret's favorite thing in the world-holding our babies while they sleep:)
After Bret finished up work he had a WHOLE week off, which was glorious and I wish we could go back to that week:) We had so much fun hanging out all together, all day everyday. At the end of the week we had Carter's 3rd birthday*tears* I cannot believe he is already three. He is "fireman Carter" these days so we had a whole firetruck themed birthday with a firetruck cake, pinata, and inflatable slide! We had both our families there and all his friends from community group. It was a beautiful day and so much fun! He was so excited and got lots of firetrucks for his birthday!! Our favorite part was hearing him pronounce Pinata and how well he said that word:) It made Bret especially so happy since he loves to speak Spanish. The day was perfect for Carter and I loved that. One of my favorite parts of the party was him giving away all his candy from the Pinata to everyone in our families. :) It was so incredibly sweet. I think he was asleep by 7 that night he played so hard that day. We love you Carter man!
