Happy 1st Birthday Tucker

Tucker turned one last week. I really feel as if this whole year flew by. It seems so much faster than Carter's first year. I still remember all the little details about the day Tucker came into the world. They broke my water, no drugs, it was so fast and he was perfect. It has been such a fun year. I wish someone would of told me to lighten up with my first one. I was so ridiculous with schedules and what Carter could/couldn't eat and with Tucker I just didn't really worry about it ...at all and he still made it to his first birthday.

First birthdays in our family we just keep real small and just with the family. A little cake and presents at the house or out to dinner. It just seems perfect for a one year old. So this year we went out to eat with my dad's family the day before Tucker's birthday, and then the Sunday after we had lunch with my mom, sister, and Bret's family. He smiled so big when we sang Happy Birthday to him and he destroyed his cake. I was so proud:) He got a few new cars to push around the house (well if he can get them away from his brother) and some new kicks!! Hopefully he will start walking soon, but our boys are such fast crawlers they really could care less about walking. He tries to take steps but just face plants:) Tucker has been talking and babbling so much lately with ball, dada, mama, and dog, but really he just talks, talks, talks all the time. Between the two of these boys they keep it loud up in here. We also went to the park on his birthday and of course birthday donut tradtion:) Tucker, you are so sweet. Thankful for every little piece of you.

He loved his cake..mmm

This sweet boy got his first "sick, sick" so glad he is better

My favorite story from Carter this week was one morning both boys woke up early at 7am and I was cuddled up with both of them in the rocker(it was such a sweet moment) We took a 30 minute cat nap and when we woke up Carter said" Mommy, we do not bite" That's right Carter we do not bite. "Mommy, we love people. And Jesus loves us mommy"

Bret had been out of town this past week and that moment kept me going. On days when I think they don't hear a word I say in that moment I knew they hear every word. I truly hope they know the depth of the love Jesus has for us and that we always choose to love people.

Has worn his necklace from Lil's birthday everyday!!

The love "working" on the cars with daddy's tools!
